Applications are open to eligible people aged 18+ and eligible businesses and organisations involved in or contributing to the LGBTQ+ adult industry.
Categories may include performers, creators, newcomers, webcam performers, subscription creators, photographers, videographers, agencies, studios, platforms, websites, product brands, fashion brands, clubs, events and other relevant professionals or organisations.
Available categories may evolve as the industry and awards develop.
4. Do I have to be based in the UK?
No.
Although Pride Awards UK is a UK-based awards organisation, applications may be welcomed internationally where applicants meet the requirements of the relevant category.
5. Can I nominate myself?
Yes.
Self-nomination is welcome.
You do not need to wait for somebody else to nominate you.
6. Can somebody else nominate me?
Yes, where third-party nominations are available.
We may contact the person nominated before publishing their profile or using their photographs or other material.
7. Can I enter more than one category?
Yes, where you genuinely qualify for more than one category.
Separate applications or additional information may be required.
Please only enter categories that genuinely reflect your work.
8. Is it free to apply?
Yes.
There is no application fee to become a Pride Awards UK nominee.
9. How are the winners decided?
Every competitive Pride Awards UK award is determined entirely by public vote.
There is no judging panel deciding competitive winners.
The nominee receiving the highest number of valid public votes in their category at the close of voting wins, subject to verification of the final results.
10. How often can people vote?
Unless otherwise stated in the applicable voting rules, supporters can vote once every 24 hours.
Nominees are encouraged to share their individual voting link with their supporters through social media, websites and other appropriate channels.
11. What happens if somebody tries to manipulate the voting?
We actively protect the integrity of public voting.
Automated votes, bots, fraudulent accounts, deliberately duplicated identities, temporary or disposable email services used to circumvent restrictions, purchased fraudulent votes and technical manipulation are prohibited.
Suspicious voting activity may be reviewed and invalid votes may be removed.
Removing fraudulent votes does not change the public-voting system. It helps ensure that only valid public votes determine the result.
12. Can a nominee be disqualified because somebody else cheated for them?
Not automatically.
A nominee would not normally be held responsible simply because another person attempted to manipulate voting without their knowledge.
We may consider whether there is reasonable evidence that the nominee knowingly organised, encouraged or participated in the prohibited activity.
13. What happens if there is a tie?
If two or more nominees finish with exactly the same number of valid votes, an additional public vote may be held between the tied nominees.
Pride Awards UK will not internally choose the competitive winner.
14. Do I need a large social-media following?
No.
A large audience can obviously help when encouraging people to vote, but Pride Awards UK is not restricted to established names.
Emerging talent, independent creators and newer businesses are encouraged to participate where they meet the applicable category requirements.
15. What do I get from taking part?
Taking part can create opportunities for industry recognition, exposure, profile growth, networking and media opportunities.
Approved nominees may be promoted through Pride Awards UK channels.
Selected participants may also be considered for interviews, photography, filming, podcasts, social-media features and other promotional opportunities.
Participation does not guarantee the same amount of promotion for every nominee or guarantee followers, bookings, income or other commercial benefits.
16. Do nominees have to buy a ticket?
Approved active nominees receive complimentary admission to the Pride Awards UK ceremony unless otherwise stated for the relevant event.
Nominees must still follow any registration, identification, capacity or attendance requirements communicated for the event.
Complimentary nominee admission does not automatically include guests, travel, accommodation or other costs unless expressly stated.
17. Can I use my stage name?
Yes.
Where appropriate, nominees can be publicly presented using their stage or professional name.
If we require a legal name for verification or administration, it will not normally be published.
18. Does entering Pride Awards UK publicly identify my sexual orientation?
Not necessarily.
Pride Awards UK includes performers, creators, businesses, organisations, professionals, supporters and allies.
We do not assume somebody's sexual orientation, sex life, gender identity or other private characteristics merely because they apply, vote, attend or support Pride Awards UK.
However, information that an individual voluntarily chooses to publish or certain award categories may reveal or strongly imply personal information about them.
Our Privacy Policy explains how such information is handled.
19. Can I keep my private identity separate from my stage identity?
Where reasonably practicable, yes.
We understand that some nominees maintain a clear distinction between their professional identity and private identity.
A stage or professional name may therefore be used publicly where appropriate.
However, an approved nomination is public, so information clearly identified as part of your nominee profile will be published.
If you have a particular privacy or personal-safety concern, contact us before applying or as early as possible.
20. Why do you ask me to upload a photograph?
Your photograph may be used to create your nominee profile and promotional material connected with Pride Awards UK.
This can include your voting page, nominee card, social-media graphics, finalist announcements, event artwork and other awards promotion.
Please provide the best-quality suitable photograph available.
Only provide material that you have the necessary right or permission to submit.
21. Will you edit the photograph I submit?
We may make reasonable technical and creative adjustments so nominee artwork can be presented professionally and consistently.
This may include cropping, resizing, sharpening, upscaling, colour or lighting correction, retouching, background removal or replacement, branded graphics, typography and adapting images for different formats.

22. Do you use AI when creating nominee graphics?
Pride Awards UK may use conventional design software, automated technology and AI-assisted creative tools as part of our production processes.
AI-assisted tools may be used for image enhancement, sharpening, upscaling, resolution improvement, lighting correction, subject isolation, background removal or replacement and preparation of branded promotional artwork.
The purpose is to create professional awards material — not to deliberately change somebody's identity or misrepresent them.
23. What if I do not want my photograph edited using AI?
Tell us as early as possible.
Where reasonably practicable, we may use your original supplied photograph or conventional editing instead.
It is better to tell us before promotional artwork has already been produced or distributed.
24. Can I ask for my nominee photograph to be changed?
Yes.
If there is a genuine issue with your nominee image or you have a better-quality replacement, contact us.
We will consider reasonable replacement requests.
Please provide the highest-quality original photograph available.
Once material has already been published, downloaded, printed or reposted by third parties, it may not always be possible to retrieve every previous copy.
25. Does Pride Awards UK own my photograph once I upload it?
No.
You retain any rights you already own in your photograph.
By submitting it, you give Pride Awards UK permission to use and reasonably adapt it for your nomination, public voting and awards promotion as explained in our Terms & Conditions.
26. What type of photograph should I submit?
Please provide a clear, good-quality image suitable for public promotion.
Nude photographs or explicit screenshots should not be submitted through the application form.
Where possible, provide an original photograph rather than a screenshot, heavily compressed social-media download or low-resolution image.
Better source material allows us to produce better nominee artwork.
27. Is my email address or telephone number displayed publicly?
No.
Contact information collected for administration is not intended to appear on your public nominee profile.
Public information may include your stage or professional name, photograph, category, biography and social-media information where supplied for that purpose.
28. Why might there be a separate privacy consent on the application?
Some information voluntarily supplied through a Pride Awards UK application may reveal particularly sensitive personal information.
Where data-protection law requires explicit consent for a particular type of processing, we may ask for that permission separately rather than including it only within general Terms & Conditions.
29. What are optional partner opportunities on the application form?
From time to time, Pride Awards UK may offer applicants optional opportunities from sponsors, platforms, partners or affiliated brands.
Choosing one of those opportunities is separate from entering Pride Awards UK.
You do not have to accept an optional partner opportunity in order to participate in the awards unless a particular opportunity expressly states otherwise.
30. Can I withdraw from the awards?
Yes.
Contact us if you no longer wish to participate.
We will consider your request and remove active nomination material where appropriate.
Material already printed, distributed, downloaded, archived or independently reposted may not always be capable of complete retrieval.
31. Can Pride Awards UK remove a nominee?
Yes, in appropriate circumstances.
This may include serious eligibility issues, deliberately false information, infringement of another person's rights, serious misconduct connected with the awards, deliberate voting manipulation or a material breach of the Terms & Conditions.
A nominee will not be removed simply because they make a complaint or express a good-faith opinion.
32. When does voting open?
The voting timetable is announced separately for each awards cycle.
Approved nominees will receive their individual voting links and instructions when voting becomes available.
33. When are the winners announced?
Winners are announced at the annual Pride Awards UK ceremony.

We aim to provide nominees with opportunities for exposure but cannot guarantee identical social-media coverage, reach, press attention or promotional activity for every participant.

38. Will there be press, photographers and media at the awards?
Yes.
Pride Awards UK may welcome approved photographers, press, videographers, filmmakers, podcasts and other selected media.
Nominees may also be approached for interviews, photography and other content.
Participation in individually focused interviews or additional media activity is generally optional unless separately agreed.
39. What if I have a complaint or concern?
Contact us and explain the issue clearly.
We will consider reasonable concerns and may request additional information where necessary.
Where something can reasonably be corrected or resolved, we will consider the appropriate action.
Once a matter has reasonably been addressed, we may close correspondence where repeated messages do not raise any materially new issue.
